Where to Stay When Visiting Yosemite National Park

Visiting Yosemite is a dream come true for many travelers, but everyone faces the thorny issue of where to stay. The park is huge, and with maze-like winding roads throughout its interior a visitor's best bet is to stay within the park itself.
Camping with Tents or RVs
Yosemite is blessed with beautiful camping areas that are set up for both tent camping and RVs. RV sites include options for premium back-in spaces and pull-thru spaces, as well as basic back-in and pull-thru spaces equipped with full camping hook-ups. Basic tent spaces with no hook-ups are available for those that really want to rough it.
Bed & Breakfast
There are bed & breakfast establishments within Yosemite for those looking for more comfort during their stay. Yosemite Peregrine Lodging is a beautiful establishment where the rooms have private baths, a gorgeous deck with a view and a lovely fireplace. Yosemite West High Sierra Bed and Breakfast is a luxury bed and breakfast waiting to welcome guests. It has beautiful stonework, vaulted ceilings and a gorgeous location high on a mountain ridge.
Hotels
The Wawona Hotel is a lovely old hotel with charming rooms filled with character and has a hotel bar, restaurant and swimming pool. The Ahwahnee is perhaps the best choice for luxury in Yosemite with room service, an upscale restaurant and a pool.
Cabin and Yurt Rentals
Yosemite Pines offers a great variety of cabins and yurts for rent. There are cabins available that comfortably fit up to eight people. Most cabins come equipped with a half bath, a counter top refrigerator and microwave for your convenience. Yurts, which are circular tents, are furnished with sleeping arrangements for five situated near the restrooms and showers.
Wherever you stay, rest up and take the time to enjoy the beauty of the park. Remember: staying in the park affords you the most time to explore its natural wonders.
